BUY LOCAL - BUY AMERICAN
How many times have you found yourself shopping only to select an item that is made in a foreign country? Out of inconvenience to search for a similar product "Made in America", you purchase the item. Think of the countless number of persons in these United States that do the same. Now, think of the ripple effect this is having and will continue to have on the national economy, the security of America and the prosperity of American families if this practice remains unbalanced.

Homeland Security Inadequate for Agroterrorism
Presently, food security or rather, agroterrorism is not adequately addressed by the Department of Homeland Security. Read Secretary Chertoff's testimony regarding agroterrorism.
Testimony of Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff Before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee
Dirksen Senate Office Building
Washington, D.C.
July 14, 2005
http://www.dhs.gov/xnews/testimony/testimony_0037.shtm
The pertinent discussion is found almost at the end of the document. After opening the page, use the "find tool" and enter agriculture, agroterrorism or food and it will take you to that part of the testimony for this information.
The more persons incorporated into the overall responsibility for food security, the less agroterrorism has the possibility to occur.
